Making Paper Frames

It's fun to make paper frames for your artwork and it looks so cute. You can make a paper frame for any size artwork as long as your paper is big enough. If you want a 1/4" frame just measure 2 inches more than the width and height of your picture. A 2 x 2" picture would need a sheet of paper 4 x 4" to make a quarter inch frame. Heavier scrapbooking papers look the best and have a nice weight so they are less likely to get crushed.

If you want a half inch frame you would measure 4 inches more than your picture size. So a 6 x 8" picture would need a piece of paper 10 x 12" to make a half inch frame. For each side you need to score 1/4" in four times for a quarter inch frame as shown below.

And then cut out the corners and two of the sides as shown. Angle the first and third bend diagonally 1/4" as shown. Cut straight across the second folds between the diagonal pieces and fold all scored lines inward.

Then just fold all lines together and put a dot of glue at the corners to hold it in place. You might want to position your picture before folding so it's easier get in the frame.

So easy to make in any size!
